Through August 30, 2024, any reported score is used to indicate participation and completion of the Foundations of Reading assessment for Utah licensure.
Individuals who apply for licensure on or after September 1, 2024, will need to pass the Foundations of Reading assessment with a score of 240 or higher to receive their license.
Tests may include test questions that are being evaluated for future administrations and that do not affect a candidate's score.
When taking this test in an online-proctored appointment, examinees will receive a 15-minute break after the multiple-choice section and before the open-response section. Note that after this break you will begin the open-response assignments and you will no longer have access to the multiple-choice questions.
